Good Morning All..... well actually good afternoon been working on this off and on while at our appointments down in Boston! We are

heading to The Farber this morning!!! Sitting here reflecting on this past year and where we were on this day 2019 and where we are on same day a year later in 2020.... to most it might seem like things are all better and things are back to as they were before..... but not true!! NOT TRUE AT ALL

One year ago we didn’t know what kind of cancer Craig has  it we found out that it was Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, it could of been either T cell or B cell ALL, and we didn’t know if he was positive or negative for the Philadelphia Chromosome!! Depending on that would be how we would proceed with treatment!! So in order to find this out he had just had his his first bone marrow biopsy and we were then getting ready for brain surgery for them to put his Omayah port in his head so they could see if his cancer had passed the blood/brain barrier!!  They wanted to be able to treat his whole body from head to toe if it had and it did pass the barrier!!! It was A LOT to take in!! Heck it is still a lot!!

Immediately I started to educate myself so I would know how to best support Craig through this, and also so I would know what the right questions would be to ask his doctors!!!

We have made it through bone 6 bone marrow biopsy’s, chemotherapy, radiation, stem cell transplant, chemical meningitis(which I figured out and had I not he might not be here today or here as the same ol’ Craig that he has always been) plus the side effects of a ton of medications too many to count and so much more!!! Yes we made it from the “c” word CANCER to the “r” word REMISSION..... BUT there is two parts to the “r” word the other is RECOVERY..... which I don’t think a lot of people are understanding! If we want him to stay in remission there is still a long way to go in his recovery!!! I had to take education classes at Dana Farber on how to help keep him healthy until the day he rings the bell 🔔 telling us he is 100% in recovery! All this stuff you are seeing on TV and in the news I personally already had that shock and have been living this lifestyle change and on this level of alert for many many months!!! If people are going to be around him on a regular basis PLEASE GET THE FLU SHOT it is free at Convenient MD which is a mile down the road from our home in Westbrook (their hours are 8am-8pm M-F) Again if you’ve been sick or around anyone who has been sick he can not be around you!!! Your pets need to be left at home and not around him, he should NOT be going inside your home, or place of business!! If you’re lucky enough to come inside our home you need to wear masks and gloves (if we can even get any to supply you if we can’t then I’m sorry but you can’t come in) and you can not use our bathroom, eat or drink anything while you are there!!!

He has a hard time saying no so let me say it for him NO HE SHOULD NOT be helping you with your renovations, or fixing your vehicle!!

PLEASE HELP US ALL BE ON THE SAME PAGE!! WE NEED TO BE!! Craig does have a hard time saying NO, and even if it isn’t something you asked him for help with and it is something he volunteers to help you with please just say thank you for your offer but NO THANK YOU! Please if you aren’t sure just ask me,  I do not have a problem saying NO FOR HIM because personally I would like to have him around to grow old with!! YES ULTIMATELY IT IS UP TO HIM TO SAY NO and after we just had this appointment today I 🙏🏼 he does!!! The most healthy we can help him through his recovery process we will extend the days and years we get to have him in our lives creating memories with him rather then him be a memory!!

I think I can say from both of us we feel very thankful for the help we have received along the way.... financially and emotionally ❤️ WE HAVE AMAZING CHEERLEADERS and lots of love to you all!!  🐝➕🧡💪🏼 🙏🏼❤️
