Courage’s Story

Site created on July 11, 2023

On June 27, Jackson and Ethel's daughter, Courage (18) was involved in a car accident that has left her in intensive care. She was thrown from the vehicle and has had surgeries to stabilize her spine. The doctors are unsure of her ability to use her arms or walk. We are praying for a miracle. Ethel and Jackson have been tirelessly at the hospital and could use help with related expenses (medical costs, gas money, food). We are asking for you to love on him and his family, if you are able. Jackson shared that he is finding some comfort in Psalm 5: Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy, Spread your protection over them, that those who love you name may rejoice in you. For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

From Ethel: We are grateful to God and our church family for the help, be it cash, card or food given to us. Courage has transferred from HCMC to Regency hospital in Golden Valley for more cares. They are trying to wean her off some medical equipment and to enable her to start therapy. We’re praying for God’s mercy and Devine favor. Thanks so much for all the help and please continue to keep her in your prayers.
