Connie’s Story

Site created on September 4, 2023

On Friday, September 1st, Connie suffered a major fall from about 10 feet high or so, while working on his most recent construction project for a friend. Thankfully, his brother and friend were there with him when it occurred and were able to call 911. The amazing rescue teams from Warren and Argyle were able to assist and get him rushed to Grand Forks. Unfortunately, this major fall left him with extensive injuries from numerous fractures, to bruising, and brain swelling. He was promptly placed in an induced coma and CT scans were done. He had to undergo emergency neurosurgery in order to relieve the swelling rapidly taking place. Things have been very slow going in any type of recovery process since then. His injuries are conflicting with forward progression. There is a lot of heaviness with the uncertainty in what’s to come. Please continue to pray big: pray for controlled pain, pray for the medical team surrounding his case, pray for answers and a plan, and pray for family and friends. We selfishly would love to see a miraculous recovery in such an extreme situation. We appreciate all of the love, support, and prayers coming our way. We will update you as we are able to the best of our abilities.

Sincerely,

The Lubarski family

Journal entry by Nolan Lubarski

It’s been a long few days, and after this time, a special angel (Mom) has taken her plus one into the heavens with her! Mom….you won this time. On behalf of our whole family, words can’t express the gratitude we have for your prayers, love, and support. Although our lives will be forever changed, we take solace in knowing that Mom and Dad are in the best box seats to watch our children and families grow and do amazing things!

With sincere gratitude and love,

The Lubarski Family
