We've been back from San Diego now over a week - just getting settled back to life, work, Connor, Ryan etc....
We've been back from San Diego now over a week - just getting settled back to life, work, Connor, Ryan etc....
Connor is doing remarkably well, I love to say :) If I could have known this on the other end it would have been much less stressful, however, there is never any guarantee and as human beings, especially parents, you cannot escape that worry or concern for your child. The doctors were amazing, the stay at the hospital was very stressful (more for us than for Connor) as we were restricted visitation, but he got out a day sooner than expected so that we cannot complain about.
The surgery was successful, he was out of the hospital in two days, we spent 10 days total there post-surgery to be close to hospital and post op appts and peace of mind. He did most of his intense healing there - it was not always pleasant, but it was way better than all of us anticipated. His mild facial weakness has already mostly corrected itself, he has had very little balance issues and his hearing loss is not as noticeable as he anticipated. (We'll see as he gets out to other environments, but for now so far, so good :)
Thank you all for the prayers and concern - it really meant so much to all of us, especially to Connor! No new pics to share, but all is going well!!!
