Connor’s Story

Site created on November 17, 2020

Note: Please ensure you do NOT make a “tribute” or a “share your support" type caringbridge donation on this main page;  that money goes directly toward the website company, NOT to Connor (and sorry it keeps popping up automatically); this has nothing to do with Connor (shame on Caringbridge for suggesting that it supports Connor or keeps his website going). If you made one already, please contact website support and they said they will refund.
Our family has set up the “ways to help” tab on this site, which redirects to external links that do go directly to support Connor (and also feel free to send him pictures, cards or books to hospital, attn Connor Keefe, 6-northeast), but we really just want this website to keep you updated in one place instead. Thanks!

Hi everyone, We are using this website to keep family and friends updated in one place of Connor's recently diagnosed Leukemia, during our stay at Children’s Hospital Boston / Dana Farber. This is the hardest experience we have ever been through, but we know Connor is a fighter and will make it through. We appreciate your words of hope and encouragement. I’ll try to update this as frequently as possible. Love you all!

Description: When you have free 12 mins, Please watch Connor’s cancer battle treatment video! Shows a brave boy, from start to finish of his journey with leukemia from age 2.5-4.5, and growing up great throughout! I know it’s long, but I promise it’s worth watching, and after the first 2 mins, it’s incredibly uplifting.

I originally started making this video as a thank you for all the people who made it possible for us to get through these years (hence the many family and friends cameos); I also wanted to make it to share w/the thousands of moms in my cancer parent Facebook group. Every day a new parent joins the group, so scared of what the next 2-3 years will hold. And I wanted them to see that even though it’s awful at first, there is still a way to actually get through and live a life during treatment.

As I was making the video, Connor kept asking me to see it while I worked on it, and now he literally asks me to watch “his warrior video” every night,  so I realized this is most importantly a video for Connor to have when he gets older.

I tried to include many family and friends who helped us, but there are so many more people and orgs who held us up during this time! Truly thank you to everyone that supported Connor: you all did so much for us!! As well as Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana Farber/Jimmy fund clinic.

Music creds include my bro, Todd Carey, Christina perri, Andy G, xaviar R, and more incredible artists. FYI The first 30 secs of video was added at end, and lots of layered sounds, it was mistake but I ended up leaving in there because the disorienting feel at the beginning nails it. It does get happier as u watch, so hang in there:).
