Colossians 3:23-24

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."

An update is long overdue!  Connor is graduating high school and preparing to enter college this fall!!!!  We are all so proud of his diligent work.  Not only has he completed his course work on time, even with a year of cancer treatment mixed in, but he is receiving a diploma with distinction for completing a higher level of required courses.  I have sat down to write this update several times but have struggled to find words.  As an educator, graduation often feels hard.  While I am excited for all they have achieved, it is like a punctuation mark indicating the ending of a sentence, or in the case time period.  Connor won my heart at his entrance interview in seventh grade.  His radiates joy and gives the best hugs everyday.  I cannot imagine campus without him though I am cheering him on as he pursues his calling.  It is bittersweet.  He plans to pursue a career in the medical field.  This is just one way we will be able to see Connor using his medical journey to give back and testify of the Lord's faithfulness to him.

He did have scans done a couple weeks ago and they showed NO tumor growth!  Two of his vertebra are still inflamed from treatment, so they will keep an eye on those along with everything else.  He graduated from scans every three months to every four months for the next year.  The last scan proved to be a challenge for him so please pray for those to be easier in the future.  He is required to lay completely still for two and a half hours.  Simple involuntary movements such as swallowing or a leg twitch can cause them to have to start over.  I am sure you can imagine how frustrating that would be.

In other news, Connor has been able to resume many "normal" things that he had missed.  He is back at work and back in the gym.  Connor loves fitness, so this has been a highlight for him.  Adding to that, he was allowed to assist in coaching the ladies soccer team.  Lacing up his cleats and teaching the sport he loves so much brought joy to everyone!

Connor was the recipient of a "Make a Wish" as well.  Instead of an experience trip, he chose to have some fun things upgraded on his truck.  He received new tires, rims, a lift, stereo, lights, and even leather seats.   His truck looks great and he loves it!!!!

I have attached some updated pictures.  We are all thankful for Connor's continued health and God's provision through all of this.  He has reached another milestone in life and we can't wait to see what the Lord does through him.   Please keep Tiffany, Brooke, and Connor in your prayers as they all transition into a new normal this fall.
