Connie’s Story

Site created on August 19, 2021

On November 2nd, 2020, Connie had quadruple bypass surgery and a mitral valve replacement. Her recovery has been full of ups and downs, and we continue to navigate everything that advanced-stage heart failure has to throw at us with the sure knowledge that the Lord is in control.

We are using CaringBridge to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting!

Journal entry by Carissa Bartlett

We had a wonderful time on Saturday afternoon at Natalya's bridal shower! (Natalya is my brother Paul's oldest daughter. She is getting married on October 16th.)

Mom did great, and we stayed for the whole shower. We were able to get some fantastic pictures to share with Paul!

Mom's whole weekend was great. We saw Mom and Dad at Mass on Sunday, and then they got to eat lunch outside at their favorite spot - their own deck!

It was much-needed break before we jumped back into more appointments this week.
