Connie’s Story

Site created on May 10, 2023

Dear Friends,
In March of this year we received devastating news. We learned that Connie’s uterine cancer (originally diagnosed in 2018) had metastasized to her liver and lungs.  This means that her cancer is now considered late stage and incurable. We were then given a simple choice: enter hospice care to live out the few months she would have left  or start palliative chemotherapy treatments. With the hope of giving us more time and reducing the already distressing symptoms that Connie was experiencing, she started palliative chemotherapy treatments on March 16th. Our medical plan is to keep Connie as comfortable as possible while staving off the disease as long as we can. Our life plan is to fill whatever days she has left with beauty and purpose. We are fortunate and thankful that she is able to receive her treatments here in Wooster and  feel blessed to have such excellent care providers.
We are going forward a day at a time. It is comforting to have you as friends.
