Journal entry by Drew Bazil

Our mom is doing well and can be downgraded to acute care from the ICU. They don't have ACU beds at the moment, so she'll probably stay the night here anyway. She's mostly sleeping (not feeling up to looking at her phone or watch TV or anything) but is walking every time they tell her to. Her liver function is great. Her kidneys took a hit during surgery but apparently that's normal and the doctor expects her kidneys will bounce back within another day or two.

Doug is also able to go to ACU when beds are available. He’s tired and in some pain but doing well overall.
