Okie doke. So, lots going on since my surgery. I was staying with my parents for about 6 days so my Mom could do the awesome Mom thing she does and nurture me back to health.

My Dad had a hip replacement surgery four days after my surgery, so Mom definitely had her hands full with the two of us.

The drain they put in has been super annoying. There is a long tube with a bulb hanging out of your body. It fills up with nasty fluid that collects between the skin and chest wall. Well, I don't have that anymore....because it FELL OUT when I was showering. So, I have experienced some seriously painful fluid build up.

I was visiting my parents today and noticed that the couch I was sitting on was wet. I say "why is your couch all wet right here?" Of course, Dad knows right away that the fluid has now leaked out of my incision, through the bandaid and is now all over the couch. I am freaking out at this point. I don't know what to do. Luckily, I have my surgeons cell phone number. So, I call him and give him the scoop. He says to come in and see him today.

Mom took me down at 1:00 to see the doctor. Who basically said everything looked pretty good. Not anything to worry about. Let it drain if it wants to drain. If the buildup of fluid gets too much, I can go back in and he will insert a needle and drain the fluid out! Uh....no thanks to that!

I asked him if my pathology report had come in yet. He got it from the nurse and went over it with me. They tested four lymph nodes and they were all negative. The size of the main mass was 1.9cm, so they classify that as "stage 1 breast cancer". I asked him if he was saying I still had it in there somewhere or what. I literally just came out and asked "So, can I tell people I am cancer free?" To which he replied "There is no evidince of disease in your body."

So....SUCK IT CANCER. I BEAT YOU!

That's all I have for now. I am in a fair amount of pain today and just don't have the mental wherewithall to give anymore. Just wanted to share the good news with everyone.

Love you all. Thank you for your prayers, support, love, and good vibes. They all worked. I still have a long way to go, but I have also already come so far.
