Journal entry by Christi O'Boyle

This is a heart-wrenching post to make. . .even though I know it won't be the most heart-wrenching in this wicked battle that Clint has been fighting! I had the honor of visiting with Amber, Clint & Hunter today. Their strength, stamina and will to do the best they can just amazes me!! Everything Amber and Hunter did was done with such routine, love, & grace. I am confident that Clint knows how loved and cared for he is!
I got to visit alone with Clint today too. As I sat there there thanking him for taking such good care of Amber and loving my friend, he couldn't resist the sarcastic reply of, "who said I love her?" To enjoy a moment with Clint as the Clint that I have know, of course made me laugh and cry at the same time. To sit there and see the photo of Clint and Amber on their wedding day hanging just above their bed made me smile and so sad at the same time. . .their life together should have been a lifetime. A true match made in heaven! As I sat there, trying to comfort him, he only tried to comfort me back as I couldn't control the tears rolling down my face. He's a fighter!
Clint, you are a good man!! The world needs more men like you! So when I told you, "I hope I can make it up for a visit again in a couple days, but if I don't get to see you then, I will see you on the other side," I meant that!! Thank you for the laughs, the funny pics of you teasing Amber during your trips together, and just being a genuinely good human being!
Sending Amber, Clint, Hunter and all their loved ones hugs and prayers through this!! What a great tribe!!

"We have had quite a difficult time yesterday and today. Clint’s health has continued to rapidly decline. This has been quite an aggressive disease and has continued to progress rapidly. Clint is quite stubborn which has caused some additional safety concerns. It has been difficult for him as he is no longer be able to walk or stand but he has tried to be sneaky and stubborn. Fortunately he was not hurt and Hunter has been able to help me lift him back into bed.
Today was another hard turn of events but our king bed turned into a super king bed. A hospital bed has been brought in for clint, this will hopefully get him upright a little more and be more comfortable as he is bed bound. His communication is minimal but he is aware when he has visitors. If you would like to visit, please let me know a day/time and we can try to make it work. We are keeping visits brief and allowing enough time between for rest.
Please do not take offense if it takes time to return messages or call as Clint’s care is quite demanding"
