Welcome to Cliff’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportWow! We have been overwhelmed with all the cards, prayers, gifts, thoughts, well-wishes, notes, pictures, etc! Dad has read through each card and scratched off every lottery ticket! In this season of giving thanks, our family has so much to be thankful for! THANK-YOU!
Dad’s health is continuing to decline. Over the last couple of weeks, his breathing has been more labored. His lungs are filling up with fluid and he has been using oxygen. They have increased his pain meds which makes him more comfortable and helps with his breathing but has the side effects of being more tired and at times, confused. His humor and stubbornness continues to shine through. Due to Covid restrictions, Dad is limited to in person visitors but with the mild November weather, he was able to enjoy “window visitors”.
Today (Sunday) mom received a call from the House of the Dove informing us that Dad was having difficulties breathing last night and they suggested we come and say our good-byes. Dad still shared with us one of his classic “Cliff-isims”, “Where there is a will there's a way!” We enjoyed our afternoon with Dad and we had the chance to pray the Rosary with him. The grandkids lead the prayers from outside the window. We did get the comfort of Father Jim Weighner who came to visit and gave him his Last Rites. We all enjoyed our visit with Father Weighner.
We find comfort knowing that Dad is in caring hands. He has felt the love from each of you and for that we are grateful. Please continue to keep Dad in your prayers and thoughts.
Love, Lois, Kelly & Jill
