Cliff’s Story

Site created on December 23, 2023

Some may know and some may not know but I was born with left pulmonary agenesis, meaning, I’m missing my left lung, coarctation of the aorta (a narrowing of the aortic arch in my heart), a complete AVSD (a large hole in the middle of my heart), and Down Syndrome. Mom & Dad knew since the 20th week of pregnancy and had lots of extra appointments throughout the remainder of the pregnancy to check on me. I will need a couple heart surgeries throughout the first year of my life, but it all depends on how I do overall, in regards to when those surgeries will be.

After my first heart surgery, they found I have tracheal stenosis and the whole lower part of my trachea has formed complete tracheal rings.
