Newest Update

Journal entry by Stephanie Deal

Hello all,
One year ago Carol left Sanford hospital and went home; which was on their anniversary. Since then both Cliff and Carol have hit many milestones in their progress.

Cliff has been back to work and is counting down the days until retirement. He has also gotten himself another motorcycle and rides it cautiously. (Reminder to all: always wear your helmet, it’ll save your life.)

Carol had her plate in her left wrist removed and the pelvic bar removed earlier this year and walks and drives! When you see her, save a couple scars, you likely wouldn’t know what she went through.

This year we are thankful for all the progress. We are thankful for all the prayers, good vibes and kind messages. All of you were tremendous support and pivotal to the road to recovery for all of us.

When you see Cliff and Carol, give them a hug and say hello. Cherish the moments with your loved ones as well. For the present is a beautiful gift. We, Jodi, Sara and I (Stephanie) are so thankful and blessed to continue to have our parents alive and cherish every moment.

With that, take care, wear a helmet and have a great day!
