He is free!
Free of cancer, free of doctors visits, scans and chemo.  He is free to golf as many rounds as he wants and not worry about the weather or keeping score because in Heaven he has a perfect round every time he tees off.  He's with Mom enjoying her stories about what she's seen and heard the last 3 years that she's been up in Heaven.  Which could be interesting!

It is with a heavy heart that we say Dad passed away peacefully this morning.  Words cannot describe the loss our family is feeling.  The outpouring of love and stories is amazing.  Dad was very respected and very well loved.  We are truly grateful to everyone that has shown their support throughout Dad's journey with cancer this last year and a half.  My brother, sister and I along with our families are also grateful for the nursing staff at the Hospice cottage you all are truly Angels.  You made us feel welcome and gave Dad a run for his money with the quick comebacks and all of the love and support you shown the last week of his life made this transition easier.  It is never easy to say good-bye to someone so we say see you later as we will when it's our time to join the Lord in Heaven.

Dad's visitation will be Tuesday Sept 4th from 4-8 at the American Reformed Church in Luverne and the funeral will be Wednesday, Sept 5th at 10:30 at the American Reformed Church in Luverne.

What Cancer cannot do.

Cancer is so limited. . .

It cannot cripple Love.

It cannot shatter Hope.

It cannot dissolve Faith.

It cannot destroy Peace.

It cannot kill Friendship.

It cannot suppress Memories.

It cannot silence Courage.

It cannot invade the Soul.

It cannot steal eternal Life.

It cannot conquer the Spirit.
