Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Currently, surgery is scheduled for sometime during the week of the 18th thru the 22nd.  We won't know for certain what the tumors are until after surgery and pathology results are received.  We will post updates as soon as we know specific dates.

Memorial Service For Clay:

I have had several inquires regarding when we will be having a service for Clay, so I thought I should send out an update regarding this.    Many of you know that my husband's faith was an important part of who he was.  As a family we would prefer to hold his service at his home church and with the current limitations around covid, many people would not be able to attend.  The kids and I struggle with this greatly since Clay's passing.

Very recently we had an incredibly kind friend provide us with a full format to help us incorporate Zoom into the service.   After much conversation, trying to pick a date etc, we determined that due to birthdays, holidays, and the very anticipated arrival of a precious little baby in mid December, it would be impossible to do the service before the end of the year.   We  are hoping that by January our county will have moved out of phase one, but either way we are committed to move forward with the service  at that time including Zoom in case numbers are still limited or for those that prefer to not attend in person.

Clay  was an amazing  Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend,  He was one of God's best creations and saying that we miss him tremendously doesn't come close to describing it.  Grief of any kind is difficult and hard.    For me, it has been excruciating and having not been able to gather with all those that loved Clay to honor him sooner than this has added to the level of my grief greatly.   A very wise young man reminded me that no matter when we have a service we will honor Clay well.  And for us, that will be more attainable surrounded by many of his family & friends and even if that happens via Zoom.  He also reminded me that as with most of this journey there is much out of our control and that includes stupid covid and the restrictions that come with it.

A couple of people have reached out and asked if they could speak at the service.  Outside the normal sharing of memories, if this something that is on your heart to do, please email me at CKCAREY89@gmail.com   I cannot guarantee that this will be something we can do, but it would be helpful knowing well in advance especially with using Zoom.

Thank you for your understanding and for all of your love and support,

Kirstie, Jimmie, Brianna & Justin
