Cindy’s Story

Site created on February 28, 2019

Mom asked me to create a CaringBridge website to keep close family and friends updated about her condition. This week, it was discovered that she has a significant aneurysm of her thoracic aorta. She was immediately placed under monitoring and is now scheduled to receive heart surgery in Spokane, Washington on Thursday, March 7, 2019. In the meantime, we are trying to stay positive and requesting lots of prayers! I will update Mom's page as I receive news and am able; please email me at willowmoran@live.com, or call/text 406-309-1311 to reach me directly. -Willow

Newest Update

Journal entry by Cindy Shaw

I've been home for several days. The exhaustion is incredible! I feel very battered and bruised and am totally scary to look at in a mirror. All the incisions, holes and punctures look clean and healthy. I need to call the Dr. and ask detailed questions about some of my meds. Like since I don't have high cholesterol, why do I need a pill for that. I also have a good (on the lower side of normal) blood pressure and they want me to take blood pressure lowering drugs. Other wise I'm taking Tylenol and baby asprin.

The grand kids where here on Sat. in family groups instead of all at once. They asked some pretty detailed questions that Bill, Willow, and Eli had to answer. I guess I heard the Dr. description stuff but was too close to the Anastasia to remember and learned quite a bit myself.

I sure miss Aislin being here but am definitely too weak to take care of her. Definitly not ready for Silas and Nolan. Bill
took me down to see the cows yesterday. It's starting to melt  so and the calving areas will get way worse with mud before they get better. We are well over the 1/2 way mark.

I probably won't be writing much on this site for a while. I'd supposed to go in for surgery on my abdominal aneurism sooner than later and will let you all know on FB or by email if and when that happens. I really want to thank each and every one of you for sending your prayers and good wishes for my surgery and recovery. Thank you doesn't seem like a big enough phrase to cover the appreciation I feel from your support! I love you all!!
