Journal entry by Cindy Pembleton

Hi all. Sorry it’s taken so long to update you on my progress. The last surgery went well, in fact, no drain was placed and I was able to go back to work in a week. Hopefully this will be my last surgery. I’m back to work full time and enjoying the routine of my days. I’m still on the targeted therapy medicine Lynparza until the first of the year. My biggest issue is the continued fallout from chemo and this medication. I have an appointment with a urologist next Friday due to issues with my kidneys and what needs to be done moving forward. I’m hopeful that once I’m off this drug my continued issues will resolve. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very thankful for maintenance drugs but not so much for the other health concerns they cause. I keep adding more doctors to my journey. 🙏
Mom and I are enjoying our puppy Finn who is now 18 weeks old. He’s adjusting to the crate at night for the most part. Potty training still remains a hit or miss at times but we are hopeful he “will get it” soon. It’s nice to see he and mom bond during the week while I’m at work. They are good for each other!
Stay cool out there friends, it’s been a hot one this summer!! 🌞
