Journal entry by Sarah Freed —
Hi everyone - Sarah here.
I am devastated to report that Cindy passed yesterday evening. She was comfortable and surrounded by family. This may not surprise anyone who knew my mom, but she didn't even need pain medication during her time in hospice. She was strong until the end.
During her final weeks we discussed how we should celebrate her once she had passed. Her request was simple - a celebration of life with margaritas and chips + salsa at an outdoor location. She was adamant that we wait until COVID has diminished before celebrating. Once it is safe to party in Cindy's memory, we will update this page with details. In the meantime, please be thinking of your best and funniest Cindy stories to share once we gather - we know there are plenty. No mushy stuff, she wouldn't want that!
Thank you to all of Cindy's friends (and fans!) for loving her so fiercely. While we know she'll be watching down on us, and pulling pranks on us, there will be a huge hole in our hearts without her here.
