Cindy’s Story

Site created on December 30, 2019

On October 6 2019 Cindy was having trouble communicating while at church and was taken to the hospital. She underwent many test over the next couple of days and ultimately found out that she had advanced stage lung cancer. Chemotherapy was started right away and has continued every three weeks. Cindy didn't have any symptoms until the cancer started doing damage to her brain. She had speech problems but that has mostly cleared up now. Her short term memory has been affected but her long term memory is still okay.  She has not driven since her diagnosis as she has dizzy spells confusion and is at risk of seizure.  The last two months were rough for us but things have settled down for now.
Cindy says thank you to everyone for your support and prayers.

Journal entry by Loren Foote

Today Cindy went in for her 6th chemo treatment. She had a hard time and worried about having another episode like on last Wednesday. The veins in her arms are  showing signs of distress and she is hoping to get a Intravenous port put in soon.
Her doctor said her numbers are slowly improving which is good news. He also talked to a neurologist that said he didn't think she had a seizure.
