Journal entry by Joan Christensen —
Definitely time for an update. Chuck's progress has continued; he is able to do more each day! He gets short of breath, but recovers quickly. He's back to cooking and doing some of his other regular chores (yeah!). Today was his last home health PT appointment. Next week he starts cardio rehab at Tacoma General as an out-patient. His home health PT made it sound like boot camp, so we'll see. He's driving and took himself to his coumadin clinic appointment, where there were no parking places so it was a long walk. It's all a matter of timing so next week it will be in the afternoon. But things are definitely continuing on an upward trajectory, so we're finally looking forward to a positive outcome. It's been a long time coming.
Thanks for all of the prayers, cards, calls, good thoughts, etc. We've definitely been strengthened and sustained by the love we've felt.
Love,
Chuck & Joan
