Chuck’s Story

Site created on January 31, 2022

Chuck was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) just over 7 years ago. PSP is in the Parkinson's family and is a neurological degenerative disease. Chuck has been in assisted living for the past 4 years. Chuck's decline has been slow over the past 7 years. His ability to talk has become less, he is not able to walk and swallowing is difficult. Over the past month Chuck's decline has been faster and this past week he began eating and drinking less and is much more difficult to understand. Hospice has told us that these changes indicate the beginning of the dying process. We anticipate that Chuck has a very short time left with us here on earth.

Wanted to let people know that we will be having lunch at Monkey Shines Bar and Grill after the service on Saturday.

If you spent time with our dad in recent years you know this was one of his favorite places to hang out. His request was to have the luncheon here after the funeral. He had a community of friends that he spent countless hours with there, laughing, playing pull tabs and drinking Diet Coke.
