We have the official biopsy results back from Chris’ procedure last week.
The biopsies revealed NO growths, abnormalities or cancerous tissue present.
This means that the doctor successfully removed the cancerous tumor during the first procedure in November and that it did not spread in any way. It has been 100% contained and removed.
We are incredibly thankful for the early detection. We truly believe it was by God’s grace that another health issue, unrelated to the cancerous growth, led to the early detection. The doctor said we were “extremely lucky” that it was detected during the initial procedure.
Chris will continue to be monitored on a yearly basis.
Thank you SO much to everyone for the overwhelming amount of prayers & support that were sent our way. Most days we were extremely discouraged and unsure of the future, trying to stay strong and do the next thing in front of us. The way that everyone knew exactly what we needed at just the right time was an incredible encouragement to us. It truly felt like we were being lifted through this whole process and surrounded with so much grace and love.
We are reminded of Paul’s words to the Philippians, “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21) and continue to give thanks and praise to God that Chris can continue on in life & ministry, undeterred by cancer. A renewal of faith and hope has taken place through this process and we are so thankful for that!
