Journal

  I'm with Lukas in Hershey, sitting in the recovery room waiting on him to finish waking up. He had the arch bars removed from his mouth. No follow ups needed except with an orthodontist sometime for his missing and broken teeth. The appts are slowing down which is great.
  He's learning how to cope with his leg and realizing that it's not just a matter of waiting until it gets better but figuring out how to move on in the meantime.  He's going back to school part days with the option to go lie down if he needs to.
 Christopher is doing well, finding things to do as able such as running errands, helping around the house etc. In a few more weeks his lifting weight limitations should be removed and he'll be able to return to work.
  And so we move on or try to. Helping the littles through their grief journey as been quite the experience but still they're so adaptable and their joy in life is encouraging. A few things  they said over the last two months;
 Violet: Sometimes I don't want to go to co op without Lylah but then I think that in heaven she's even more happy than we are.
 And, What if we could give all the people their gifts and flowers back then we could have Lylah again...
 Alison: I wish that God would've made it so heaven would have visiting hours like hospitals. Or maybe at least just once.
  Theo: Where is Lylah by heaven? ....is she in a house there? Is she not sleeping anymore....then it's usually shall we go get her now or why don't you go get her or shall we try to find her.  His questions are getting less though and it's hard to grasp that he likely won't remember much of her.

Thanks for caring about us through this journey.
