Journal entry by chrissy overcash

Hi we are in the middle of the summer schedules. The boys have us going everywhere. See my Sunday posts to find out what they have been up to. I had mapping done for my upcoming radiation and the doctor noticed the open wound on my incision and delayed me again two more weeks and until my surgeon Clears me. This week I went and met with my surgeon who cleared me for radiation even with the open wound. I also saw my oncologist who we worked together to create our after radiation plan. I have still been going to the lymphedema clinic twice a week for swelling, pain, range of motion, and to get new devices. I have been given a compression suit to wear for an hour a day to help with swelling. I will also be receiving a compression sleeve and glove to wear at all times. This week I will have my radiation dry run on Monday and begin radiation on Wednesday. I will then attend radiation every Monday through Friday for six weeks. Got a long road ahead of me. Pete is still in the hospital awaiting a liver transplant. He is dealing with fluid build up in his abdomen and having to get it removed and then he has weakness and blood pressure declines. He will be in the hospital for the majority of this week at least.
