Today was go home day! It was a relief to be cleared to come home. Because of the vein repair, I will be on blood thinners and wear a compression sock for the next 30 days. I will see the Oncologist again on 3/6/20. The Surgery Team has spoken with the Sarcoma Team and the Oncology Team and it sounds like the long term plan will be anti-estrogen treatment and annual or bi-annual scans. They are discussing the possibility of Chemo and/or radiation but it does not sound like that will be the recommended path.
Thanks to everyone that came to visit, checked in or sent positive vibes/prayers. Everyone has been pulling their weight while I’m down and out. Brandon took care of the dogs. Jon has been by my side the whole time taking care of whatever I need and communicating updates to friends and family. The girls were there on Monday and Tuesday and stayed with my mom. So many friends and family pitched in! My awesome team members sent cards and gifts. I can’t thank you all enough. ❤️
