Journal

Hello!!

We are one week short of 365 days of Chris completing his treatment. Chris recently had a scan and visited with the Dr. about the results.  He is still completely cancer free!!! His scans look incredible and there is still "No Evidence of Disease" in the original spot, in any lymph nodes or anywhere else in his body. They will continue to scan every 6 months at this point. We understand that reoccurrence of his specific cancer usually happens in the lungs or colon. We are believing that there will be no reoccurrence, in Jesus Name, but we are thankful for the diligence of his Dr.'s to keep watch on that.

We are still doing all the off label drugs and visiting the wholistic naturopath Dr. to help with detoxing his body (trying to get all that radiation out), and keeping his immune system healthy while supporting his organs.

The main side effect that Chris continues to endure is the ringing, chiming, buzzing in his ears that makes him very hard of hearing. This bothers us more than him so he is not electing for hearing aids yet. This is not supposed to change, but we are still covering it in prayer. His saliva has gotten incrementally better,  but not drastically. There is medicine he could take for this but it makes him feel weird, so he chooses to just deal with it.

Even though we are a year out, we still live with a deep gratitude for every minute.  Each day is colored with a thankfulness that we still have Chris with us.  The simple feels sacred.

We are praying for many who are still battling this disease, their names come to mind often. We know the battle and how far reaching this fight is. But we also know and trust in the heart of our God who heals, restores, and redeems. There is always, always hope.

Hope you are all doing well and having a great year!

Aubs
