Chris’s Story

Site created on September 7, 2021

Our journey started when Chris was 45 years old . He found a small lump that was hard in his leg which turned out to be Leiomyosarcoma after having surgery to remove it they found five spots on his lungs that were very small. We have watched them grow very slowly for six years and finally got to the point we had to remove them. He has had two robotic surgeries where they collapse the lungs and took those Leiomyosarcomas off. We thought we were in the clear and we’re ready to start new numbers and then it spread to the liver within a month. Which has now lead us to where we are today, waiting to start chemo …..he will be in the hospital for one week and then back home for two weeks and repeat six times. We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Kim Gay

Hello everyone just a little update. Didn’t want you guys to think I forgot about you. All of you have been such a huge part of our success!!

Chris is doing really well mentally. He’s so happy to know that while each day he is getting better it is not to get ready to go back to the hospital to get the crap beat out of him again…It is to keep moving forward. He has went on some walks and feels pretty decent physically… The mouth sores are starting to hit (about seven of them) but that is usual at this time. Red blood count so was really good… White blood count it was the lowest it has been so lockdown is still happening until he moves up. CT scan and labs and doctor visit of all results are on the 20th.  BIG BIG day I will try and update you the next day after. Again thank you everyone for all the love and support!💕
