A memorial service is scheduled for 10 am December 14, 2019 at St Patrick Catholic Church in Morristown, Tennessee, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chris's life. Condolences may be sent to St. Patrick Catholic Church at 2518 W Andrew Johnson Highway Morristown, TN 37814.





Chris Cawood Eanes of Morristown, Tennessee died on November 19, 2019 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee after suffering a series of strokes. She was 71.

Chris is survived by her daughter, Monica Eanes Edwards of Louisville, Kentucky, her daughter, Alisa Katherine Eanes and son-in-law Glenn Kern of Black Mountain, North Carolina, her brother William W. Cawood, Jr. and sister-in-law, Nancy Perkins Cawood of Lynchburg, Virginia, brother Jack Cawood of San Antonio, Texas and her cousins Kitty Roberts Coffey (Benjamin Coffey) and Betty Roberts Miller of Morristown, Tennessee. 

 

Chris was a New Year’s baby in 1948 born to Texas Roberts Cawood and William W. Cawood. She spent her childhood in Kingsport, Tennessee, graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She lived in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and California. For a number of years, she lived in Paso Robles on the central coast of California where she trained horses and cared for a menagerie of cats, dogs, ponies and goats. In addition to her daughters, brothers, cousins, in-laws and neighbors, she loved her work families at Rack Room Shoes and Shoe Carnival. She will be remembered most for her love of nature and animals, easy laughter and child-like sense of wonder.
