Chip’s Story

Site created on March 4, 2022

Chip and Melissa love living on and serving their clients on Marco Island.  They moved to Marco 7 years ago from Rochester, NY where they owned a fitness equipment sales and service company.  Currently they are the  owners of Marco Island Services, a home inspection and property watch service, where Chip is a licensed home inspector.  They have made many friends during their time on Marco and only wish they had moved here sooner.   Chip is a retired Navy chief who spent 10 years active and 10 years in the reserve serving overseas on several assignments.  He deeply loves this country and has sacrificed much for it. Chip and Melissa are certainly adventure seekers and enjoy spending time with their many friends and family.  Chip is the second youngest of 4 siblings (a brother and two sisters...Debi, Cheryl and Jim) and Missy is one of three (twin sister Trish and brother Michael)

Chip's diagnosis of Ewing's Sarcoma cancer has obviously come as shock to both of them and will certainly test them during the long treatment process. Due to the physical nature of his job Chip will not be able to work as the cancer has compromised his leg and he could risk serious injury by getting up on ladders and crawling in attics...activities he frequently has to do for his job. Melissa will have to manage the business in between trips to University of Miami hospital where Chip will be receiving inpatient treatment.
Please lift Chip and Melissa up in your prayers during this stressful and challenging time.
Please click on the “Ways to Help” tab if you wish to help Chip and Missy, which includes a link to a GoFundMe page. Thank you for taking the time to visit and for your care and concern.
