Cheryl ’s Story

Site created on November 21, 2019

Welcome to our website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Mark and I are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support that we have received since this crazy journey began. On Monday, November 18, I received the diagnosis that I was afraid to hear - I have metastatic breast cancer (stage 4). Yes, it was a complete shock and has rocked our world. But having all of you by our side we will continue to fight this hard. I will fight for my babies, I will fight for my husband, I will fight for all of you!

We will try and keep everyone updated as much as possible.

Thank you for visiting.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Cheryl Granito

Hello everyone, I’m posting my last update on here and moving to my Instagram. If you want updates, you can go to lovelifetogetherhome (my nerdy gardening insta/ now turned my health adventure account). I’m finding posting my healthy habits holds me to it and a lot of friends are giving me great tips/encouragement so I’d love it if you followed me there.
Anywho, back to me! Haa! I had my scan (what would mark close to a year entering MSK) and being on a chemo pill called Verzenio last Tuesday.
I’m happy to say this girl is doing pretty well. My scan showed that I no longer have tumors in my liver, no focal uptake in the breast, or the lymph node, everything has decreased in my bones and it is no longer deteriorating them (which was what landed me in the hospital a year ago November).

Best part, after going in every week, to every two weeks, to every month, I now don’t have to go in till April!!! Thinking back to how incredibly bad I was, I am so incredibly grateful! I went from being in a wheelchair, to walking just to the stop sign, to four miles, to riding a spin bike! If you know me then you know I wouldn’t have been on a spin bike in my prime....🤣 but here I am! Getting healthier and stronger than ever before. Thank you everyone for your love, support, and encouragement! I wouldn’t be here and feeling awesome without you!!! 💪🏼💪🏼 ❤️❤️
