Newest Update

Journal entry by Chassie Olson

Hello,
I thought it was about time for an update. I had my MD visits today. MD labs 🧪 are wonky. I got another prescription today to add to the suitcase 🧳. This one is for the LE neuropathy 👎🏼. I hope it helps though. In 6weeks I have another CT scan of my chest, abdomen, & pelvis along with labs, oncologist, and palliative care appointments to follow.

How do I feel                                                                I continue to be very slow going, tired & increased weakness. To sum it up, I feel like dog shit. Even though I feel this way I am very thankful for each day that I wake up to see another day. I continue to keep pushing along taking one day at a time, Believe it or not I am taking rest breaks in between doing things and using my cane more. My left leg has a mind of its own neurologically. It feels like I have a TENS unit on it at all time with a burning and tingling sensation. It drives me bat shit crazy at times.

I have been very busy with appointments for myself and for the children. With all the appointments and sports I am finding myself very  tired and weak. Axel started bowling 🎳, willow starts basketball 🏀 next week and they both have auditions for the Children’s Theater 👠🧙🏼‍♀️ next week.

We have had some amazing unexpected support from family and friends with gardening 👩‍🌾, firewood 🪵, meals 🥘, taking the kids for a few hours or overnight. We can’t thank everyone enough for all of their  love and support.

Family Fun
Willow and Axel had some amazing summer camp adventures.
Matt & I went on a mini vacation to Canada 🇨🇦 Agawa Canyon Train 🚂 tour and visited some parks and amazing beaches.

I want to thank each and every person for all the well wishes and support.  I am truly blessed to have such amazing support 🙏🏼
