We are sad to share the news that Charlotte is preparing to enter hospice care with the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center. In the 18 months since she developed lung cancer, Charlotte has been treated with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and oral chemotherapy. Each treatment has worked for a while, but the cancer keeps coming back, and her team recommends hospice/comfort cares. They have given an estimate of 3-6 months at this time.
We are thankful we were all able to be together over Christmas, and are hoping to make our last months with Charlotte meaningful and as peaceful as possible. We will share more details about her timeline once we know more. Even though she may not respond right away, Charlotte would love to hear from you.
