Journal entry by Cyndi Salaices —
Surrounded by loved ones, Suzanne, Amy, Haley, Cyndi and Izzy, Mom took her last breath at 7:20pm tonight. Her grandsons, Alex and Anthony, and sons-in-law, Terry and Andrew, were also at the hospital, however only four of us, and Izzy, were allowed in the room with her. She passed peacefully, with a full heart, knowing how much she was loved. Dad has waited 22 years for this day. We're heartbroken, but comforted knowing they are together.
Her wishes are for cremation and to be scattered at sea by her immediate family. She did not want a funeral or viewing, but perhaps after the pandemic, we'll find a way to honor her with a small gathering.
Thank you, again, for the outpouring of love and support of friends and family. 🙏
