Charles (Papaw)’s Story

Site created on July 6, 2023

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Please register so you can leave him a note or text me messages. My precious Daddy needs his quiet time so he can concentrate on healing. I know many are eager to visit but please understand that most of his day is spent feeling terrible and in pain. I promise to make sure he receives every message left here or sent to me. Please continue to pray for him.

“For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds”, says the Lord.

Journal entry by Heather Spivey

Yesterday was treatment day! We saw the oncologist before treatment to go over the labs. They were astonished how well his body handled the treatment. He went on an on about his levels and how fast his body recovered. They were so impressed, they decided to up his chemo meds for this round. I told the Dr that they look at him like they do every other 72 year old man that walks in there with cancer but that MY DADDY is a warrior and not built from the same cloth as others!!! He has endured more injuries and pain than one person should ever be able to handle and yet he just keeps marching forward. Glory be to God for his blessings!!
This pic is Daddy eating a sucker with his mask on. He poked the stick through the mask 🤣

“The Lord is with you, mighty warrior”
