Family pictures felt like the greatest accomplishment. Our last family picture became the image attached to Chad’s health crisis and I hope this new picture two years later is attached to Chad’s health and happiness!
Update: Chad’s working hard to continue to build up strength. I am still playing nurse and helping to manage his wounds, but we see great progress!
We woke up at 4am and reflected on what life was like a year ago and how thankful we are he survived. It is often a psychological struggle more than a physical one when we think back over the time apart and Chad being so ill. Perspective is such a gift! We are so grateful for every morning! He has almost been home a year and it has gone so fast. The kids are doing great and our family is experiencing joy and Christmas preparation to its fullest after missing it last year.
