Tomorrow Chad has his ileostomy “take down”, or reversal. He will say 🖐🏻BUH-BYE🖐🏻 to his colostomy bag (and I will say good-bye to the twice a week bag removal, cleaning and applying a new bag)! This is hopefully the last big hurdle in his cancer journey and a step in the right direction to get healthy!
We have to be at IU Methodist hospital in Indianapolis at 7am. Surgery is 2-3 hours and he will be in the hospital 2-4 days. We are praying for things to go smoothly and that he will be free from complications (unlike his July surgery). Fingers crossed for only one hospital visit this time around!
