Newest Update

Journal entry by Jes Olson

Happy Labor Day all!

Mom is now 14 days out from her transplant and doing better every day. Her numbers started to build over the last four or five days and she has good enough results that she gets to go home in the next day or two.

She won’t quite go back to her home, but is going to stay with her brother for a couple of weeks for some as needed care, and then back to her house towards the end of the month. It certainly has been a long road, and we have appreciated everyone reaching out and praying and well wishes for fast healing and recovery.

She still has some side effects from the chemo and the transplant that have really just drained her energy and really make it hard to talk. Feel free to continue to reach out via text only and mom will text back when she has a little bit of extra energy. Hand written letters (sent to her house) are also very welcome and appreciated. Give me a call if you want more of an update or need an address.

Also, when she gets home, there are a lot of restrictions of things that she can receive (no fresh flowers, no fresh fruit, etc), so please refrain from sending things for now. Thanks!

Love,

Kyle
