Cecil’s Story

Site created on June 6, 2018

It began July 27th 1946  . . .  hopefully you can leave comments to fill in his story. Things you remember about Cecil: a favorite memory, how you met him, share an old photo, just a funny story, or something to entertain him while he's resting at home.  Like the line above - he would like to hear from you while he can. If you would rather send him a private email, please send to: crlkbuc@msn.com
I believe most people know, but Cecil has an incurable lung disease (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis). There is no known cause and no known cure.

Journal entry by Cecil Buckner

I received Cecil's ashes yesterday. They will be in the beautiful urn my brother made until my passing when our ashes will be united in the same urn for burial. The service we had was beautiful. He would have loved it. If you would like to view the service you can go to https://Youtu.be/FO-VwRp1D8I. The music will not be played because of the copyright. Amy Koenig did the reading of The Train by John Mc Donald which sums up life. Berit Thorkelson and Cal Martin gave the best eulogies. It couldn't have been better.

Thanks to everyone for all the continued support I am getting. (No thanks to the two women who tried to scam me out of his life ins.)
Clint is coming on Friday and we will celebrate Cecil's birthday together.

Bless you all.
