Four years! Casey is officially 4 years in remission and we could not be more thrilled!! Casey has been doing amazing. In June he had a checkup that went well. Doc said that his liver numbers were the lowest they’ve been. I believe he was in the high/normal range.
In August, his best friend, Dillon, surprised him with taking him to a cancer car show in Omaha. Even though it ended up raining half the day it was amazing. Casey won the people’s choice🧡
Today marks 4 years since he was told that he had achieved remission. One more year and he will be deemed cured. It’s crazy to think like that now. There was once a time where all we could focus on was the day ahead. I (Ceara) could not be more proud of the man that stands before me today. Yesterday, we went to a Royals game with his brother and sister-in-law. Casey and I considered it a little celebration. I am so thankful that we get to celebrate this man and all he’s overcome. Of course, it’s with God’s help and guidance that we are where we are today. And of course, thank you to the amazing doctors and nurses who have been there along the way. You are not forgotten. You all hold a very special place in our hearts.
