Journal entry by Natalie Fudge —
We are beyond happy to report that after 50 days, Olivia graduated from the NICU and moved in with her parents and big brother yesterday!! She is HOME!! Greyson is already a rock star big brother! She is now content at home receiving so many cuddles from her entire family. We are SO thankful to the nurses, doctors and staff at the UW NICU for keeping Mighty O growing strong and for allowing her to come home yesterday.
Olivia was discharged at 7 pounds 1 oz with oxygen support and a feeding tube. Caitlin and Todd were trained the past few days on the oxygen and the feeding tube, they are quickly becoming experts. She will be on these supports likely for several weeks - we will keep you updated.
Thank you all for your many prayers, support and encouragement - we know they worked to keep Olivia healthy and give her parents strength through the NICU stay.
Congratulations Carter Family!
