Journal entry by Carrie Fern —
It’s been a busy few months. Holidays went well, pleasantly quiet. The new year started off bone chilling cold! Ick. I started the year with an echo. The previous showed some numbers dropped. All is good though. I also have been fighting a head cold for a month. It doesn’t want to leave me. I’ll have my 7th infusion of Enhertu tomorrow. The treatment is going remarkably well! The tumor is almost gone! Lymph node’s have shrunk to nothing and the liver spots are gone. My body has taken the drug well. Minimal side effects. Mainly fatigue and minor stomach issues. We have figured out that is cause from gastropersis (my food doesn’t digest). So I’m taking another prescription and I’ll see the GI in Feb. February 2nd will be one year diagnosis. Another year of multiple test to look forward to. 😘 I am extremely happy to be here for another year. I take it day by day. Staying positive!
Thank you all for your love and support.
Oh and my hair is coming in nicely. Wish it would grow faster, I’m tired of looking like butch. I want to be Carrie again.
