Hey my good people-it’s been a while since I’ve posted because things have been quiet and my mom has been enjoying life (carefully due to COVid). Her Cancer antigen levels has been elevated for several months without any tumors being spotted on CT scans. MRI completed 3 weeks ago showed areas of concern-Pet scan conpleted 2 was ago confirmed uptick-biopsy confirmed recurring metastatic colon cancer.
The plan is to start an immunotherapy treatment with a backup chemo pill along with scans bimonthly to monitor progress. She’s in great spirits and is extremely grateful that if all goes “average” the side effects will be minimal and she will still be able to enjoy herself.
I’ll make sure I keep everyone updated.
