Services will be held on Monday beginning with a visitation from 4pm - 6pm followed by a short service.  There will be another hour after the service to visit.

Here is what will be posted in the paper and online...

Carol Jean Fricke, 74, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

 

Carol was born May 19, 1947, in Granite City, IL. After high school, she began her career as a self-employed beautician for several beauty shops in O’Fallon. Carol was a member of the St. Clare Junior Women’s Club, Girl Scout leader, she tutored at St. Mary and St. Augustine’s Catholic School.  She cared for many people who were sick and dying, was an avid fundraiser and advocate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of her youngest grandson, and during Covid-19, she made and donated over 500 masks. In addition to her grandchildren, Carol loved her pets, watching the wildlife in her back yard, flowers and gardening. She was a grandmother to many and a friend to all.

 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; Isaac and Margaret Lewis (nee Niedhardt). 

 

Surviving is her beloved husband; Kenneth John Fricke of O’Fallon, IL, her three children; Angela (Jeff) Beishir of Belleville, IL, Aaron (Melanie) Fricke of Town and Country, MO, and Rebecca (Joe) Hopkins of O’Fallon, IL, one sister; Pat Modrusic of Edwardsville, IL, and nine grandchildren; Brittany Kelly of St. Louis, MO, Cody (Lydia) Beishir of Granite City, IL, Jordan Beishir of Belleville, IL, Hunter Beishir of Belleville, IL, Mason Fricke of Town and Country, MO, Cutler Fricke of Town and Country, MO, Lindsey Hopkins of O’Fallon, IL, Caroline Hopkins of O’Fallon, IL, Josie Hopkins of O’Fallon, IL, and many friends.

 

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon, IL 62269.

 

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 19, 2021, at 6:00pm at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon, IL 62269, with Mgr. Wm Hitpas officiating.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society via the family’s annual fundraiser; https://pages.lls.org/ltn/gat/StLouis21/teamcutler or to the Siteman Cancer Center; http://siteman.wustl.edu/tribute.
