Mom and I went to church again today - we’re going every other week now. Mom stands up in the pew and walks well with her walker. I encourage her to walk a little bit without the walker, holding onto our hands, in the hopes she may practice a bit more even though PT gave up on that goal. When she’s out and about I follow along behind as I know she may trip at any time, though she rarely does.  John and I have settled in more at Mom’s Tall Oaks home.  We all are thankful for Spring. Wherever we drive Mom will point out all the cherry blossom trees along the road, or the colorful and welcomed flowers - like daffodils, tulips, or crocuses. Mom’s health is stable and she remains in good spirits. We’re generally bringing her home 5 days a week, sometimes more. She enjoys being at her house and has had a good number of visitors. A few weeks ago, some church friends organized a Tea Party and mom enjoyed the fancy china, freshly made scones and great company. We believe her therapy has ceased, though they haven’t been in touch as much as we would like. The foster home continues to be a stable place and we are grateful for its close proximity to her home, making transport much quicker. We do not know when, or if, she’ll be able to return home full time but we’re slowly testing out some theories that should lead to more informed decisions in the coming months. We appreciate your continued connection through cards, flowers, visits and hugs and home everyone is able to enjoy the change of season.
