Carol ’s Story

Site created on August 2, 2022

In June Carol went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. After a ton of tests it was discovered that Carol is suffering from some form of ovarian cancer that has done damage to her abdominal system. Due to the spread, the cancer is inoperable, but she has begun a chemo regiment. Due to the overwhelming support and requests from family and friends, we wanted to begin this site to keep you connected.

Some of you have asked for some clarification for the upcoming weekend celebration of Carol...particularly Friday night.  I apologize for my lack of clarity.

Friday is not really an "event" per se, but our home is simply available in an open house format in the evening from about 7 until 10. Since there is no repast, per Carol's wishes, it is simply a soft place to land for those who want to be together and share stories and life together. We will have an open mic time for anyone who wishes to say a few words. It is a very causal, BYOB situation...but you will find others who were loved by Carol.

Saturday's service will be in the main sanctuary of Wilson Church at 11Am so that it can be live-streamed.

The end of the service will conclude the formal portion of our celebration. Of course for those of you who plan to remain in town on Saturday night, you are welcome to make plans with others...and you are welcome at Wilson that evening and on Sunday morning of course. If you need any recommendations of where to go, let me know what kind of vibe you are going for and I'll try to recommend some direction.

I'm working this week toward this weekend, so let me know if there is any help I can offer.
