Journal entry by Amy Jore

Mom is now home and very much enjoying having more freedom - being in her own bed, not having to eat every four hours (not to mention not having to endure the mandatory snacks in between meals), and while all of the staff at Aurora were absolutely amazing, she isn't missing the constant knocks on the door for blood draws, vitals, meal orders, PT, OT and such.

I played "I Want To Be Free" by Queen for mom on our drive home. I believe there were a few tears of joy as we drove away from Aurora...and a really big smile!!

There is still more time and patience needed for full recovery but right now I think we all feel LIFE IS GOOD!
