Everything became surreal today. This is it. We are moving forward. 

Unfortunately, all of my full match donors said no or weren’t medically cleared to donate to me. Thankfully, I have two brothers who are half matches. This is the new plan now.

My brothers will be worked up on Monday. I will receive my line and I have to get yet another bone marrow biopsy all on Tuesday. Thursday one of my brothers and I will sign consent for the donation process. Friday I will be admitted into the hospital because I will now need to receive both chemo and radiation due to my brothers only being a half match. Both chemo and radiation are very aggressive on the body and it’s easier to monitor me in the hospital. One of my brothers will donate bone marrow on September 3rd and I will receive my new stem cells that same day. 

This is good news! Despite my brothers only being a half match, it is absolutely better than nothing. I will be in the hospital longer than I anticipated and I will feel a little worse than anticipated, but this is what it takes for me to feel better! So regardless, this is all happening next week! 

Please pray for my brothers as this will be a lot for them to go through to save their sister, pray for my kids, my parents, and myself.
