Journal

It is with complete sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of our sweet mother, Carmen Dietrich. She fought a courageous battle with brain cancer for over two years. We were so blessed to be her side for the last two weeks as things declined.

Mom was the cornerstone of our family. She was always there for us, providing unwavering love and support through all of life's ups and downs. She was a devoted wife to my father, a loving mother to me and my brothers, and a doting grandmother to her five grandchildren.

Our mom was known for being the first to offer a helping hand and the last person to sit at the kitchen table. She was a servant leader, always giving her time to help others, whether that was volunteering at school, serving meals at God’s Kitchen, or putting lunches together at Pack Me Up.

But more than anything, my mother was a kind and caring person. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help those in need. She had a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved, no matter who they were.

My mother's passing has left a huge void in our lives, but we are comforted by the knowledge that she lived a full and happy life. She touched the hearts of so many people, and her legacy will live on through the memories we hold dear.

Rest in peace, Mom. You will be deeply missed, but your love and light will shine on forever.
