Camryn’s Story

Site created on March 9, 2020

Cam's story began at the end of January when she was having severe abdominal pain. She went to a stand-alone ER where they diagnosed her with pelvic abscesses. She was then admitted at Baylor (BUMC) for IV antibiotics and monitoring. After the Baylor radiologist reviewed her imaging from the outside ER, he recommended that she have a biopsy of the masses. The next day, Cam had the biopsy which showed malignant cells, but of uncertain origin.

After weeks of testing and labs, her team of oncologists determined she has Small Cell Carcinoma of the Ovary - a very rare form of cancer.

Cam's team is continuing to work with outside geneticists and oncologists to create the best treatment plan for her.

We are using CaringBridge to keep all of our family and friends updated in one place. Please continue to follow along here. We appreciate your prayers, support, and words of hope and encouragement.

We plan to have a memorial service for all friends/fam as soon as social distancing is a thing of the past.

Thank you everyone for prayers, gifts, support, etc ❤️
